Here is a limited selection of some of the geothermal work performed by Pennine.
Dumbartonshire school project - autumn 07
- 4 schools
- Exploratory borehole at each school
- 100m x 3 boreholes
- 44m x one borehole
- Site investigation
- Soilmec SM-401 rotary
We drilled exploratory boreholes at 4 schools in Dumbartonshire to assess the ground conditions at each site. Three site boreholes of 100 metres were drilled, and one more of 44 metres at the fourth site.
The drilling was undertaken using a Soilmec SM-401 rotary drill rig using a compressed air flush method.
New Malden B&Q - February 08
- 15 geothermal boreholes
- 100m
- Air flush method.
- Drilled with a Klemm KR709
We drilled some of the 100 geothermal boreholes for a new B&Q being built in New Malden in London The drilling was done with a Klemm KR-709 using an air flush technique.
Residential development Isle of Jura
- 6 x100m boreholes
- Single closed loop
- Domestic heating
- Soilmec SM-401 rotary
We drilled six 100-metre boreholes on the Isle of Jura, off the West coast of Scotland. The boreholes were drilled using a Soilmec SM-401 rotary drilling rig and a compressed air flush method. The boreholes were drilled to supply domestic housing with heat, as the area is off the main gas network.
Commercial office development Essex
